Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that goalkeeper Jens Lehmann to practice with his club and will sign a contract until the end of the season this year.
41-year-old goalkeeper is not bound by any football club since retiring in 2010 after two years to strengthen Stuttgart.
Three Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, Lukasz Fabianski and Vito Mannone currently injured so that only Manuel Almunia really fit.
Strengthen Arsenal's Lehmann 199 times between 2003 and 2008.
Arsenal do not need to pay a transfer fee because Lehmann is not bound by contract with the club and this could strengthen the Arsenal goalkeeper in the Premier League continued the match against West Brom on Saturday (03/19).
Wenger said: "Lehmann practicing with us and will be contracted until the end of the season this year.
"We do not have a reserve goalkeeper in the Premiership, so that's why I decided to call back Jens. He has not signed the contract but has reached sepatak said."
He added: "I am happy because when practicing Jens still motivated as ever. If he should be reduced, if I decide to drop, the level of personal motivation become very important."
Lehmann is a member of the Arsenal team that won the English League title 2003/2004 and continue regular touch with the West London club while he was taking coaching courses.
He strengthened the German national team 61 times and exit from Arsenal in 2008 after his position digesr by Manuel Almunia.
The presence of re-Lehmann could be interesting because both goalkeepers had openly admitted to not having a good relationship.
But Wenger insisted: "News about the relationship was not like that actually happened. Both goalkeepers are mutual respect."
"I think Jens Lehmann will push Almunia, because every day he will show you are ready to seize the main goalkeeper position. Almunia will be motivated by it," he added.
